Brent M. Bryant, Sr. was born in Clarksville Tennessee on July 30, 1951. He is the first born of Sherrill Lee (deceased) and Mary M. Bryant-Wyatt. After the death of his father, God was kind in giving him a godly step-father Pastor George E. Wyatt. He was baptized at a very early age. He began his work in the Lord in the area of singing and as director of music ministry for the Fifth Ward Baptist Church, Clarksville, Tennessee. After graduation from high school he attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. Two years into college, he answered the call of his country and joined the United States Air Force and served eight years of dedicated service.
Pastor Bryant was called and licensed as a minister of the gospel in 1979. He was ordained in 1984 at the Mount Sinai Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. L. H. Mills. His pastoral experiences began at the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas were he served for five years. He then felt lead to organize a church and Redeeming Grace Baptist Church was birthed with 35 committed members. The church was started utilizing a warehouse which was later remodeled.
Pastor Bryant was consecrated a Bishop January 4, 2002 and is the Second Presiding Bishop of the Father's House International Fellowship, Houston, Texas where Bishop Henry L. Galloway, Sr. is the International Presiding Bishop. He was also awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree by the Guadalupe Baptist Theological Seminary of San Antonio, Texas on the Second day of June 2006. He also is a member of the Board of Directors for the Guadalupe Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Bryant is the loving husband and friend of Frances Yvonne Bryant. They are the parents of nine children and fifteen grand-children (the Tribe of Bryant).
